Who we are

This website and the consultancy service it describes are operated by Voylian Limited, a private limited company registered in Northern Ireland under company number NI742449, whose registered office is at 4 Abbey Close, Greyabbey, Newtownards, Northern Ireland, BT22 2SD. Where this policy says “we”, it means Voylian Limited. You can contact us at contact@voylian.com.

This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and contains no tracking of any kind. There is nothing here to opt out of.

What this website collects

Nothing directly. There are no forms, no sign in, no comment fields and no embedded third-party content. We do not build a profile of visitors and we do not know who you are. Like any website, the pages are delivered by a hosting provider, which processes technical information such as your IP address in order to serve the page and to protect the site from abuse. This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, and that processing is governed by Cloudflare’s own privacy terms. We do not receive visitor-level reports from it.

If you email or call us

Email sent to an address at this domain is forwarded to a mailbox we control, so that we can read and reply to it. We keep that correspondence only for as long as it is needed to deal with your enquiry and for our own records. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not pass your details to anyone else for marketing.

If you become a client

Consultancy work of this kind involves sensitive information: your child's name, needs and diagnoses, school and local authority correspondence, and copies of documents such as draft EHCPs. That goes beyond what a website privacy policy normally covers, so it is set out separately here.

• Information is collected directly from you, and from documents you choose to share, in order to provide the advice, review or advocacy you have asked for.
• It is used only for that purpose, and is treated as confidential. It is not sold, and it is not shared with a school, local authority or any other party without your knowledge, except where the law requires disclosure, such as a safeguarding concern.
• Where a second opinion or outside guidance is sought from another professional, this is done without identifying your child by name wherever that is possible.
• Records are kept only for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet our own legal and professional obligations, and are then deleted or securely destroyed.
• You can ask, at any time, what information is held about you or your child, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted once there is no ongoing reason to keep it.

Your rights

Data protection law gives you rights over personal data held about you, including the right to see it, correct it and ask for it to be erased. Write to contact@voylian.com and we will deal with the request.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a data protection matter, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

If what this website or service collects ever changes, for example by adding a contact form, this policy will be updated before that change goes live.

My commitment to you

Your information is treated as confidential and handled in line with the Privacy Policy above. Advice is given honestly and in good faith, drawing on direct experience of how the process works from both sides. There is no guarantee of a particular outcome from a local authority or tribunal, because that decision is never mine to make. What I can promise is that the case will be prepared and presented as well as it can be.

Your commitment to me

Fees are agreed with you in writing before any chargeable work begins, and invoices are payable within 10 days. If a booked meeting or session is cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice, it may still be charged at the agreed rate, because that time has usually been set aside and cannot be filled at short notice. You agree to supply accurate documentation and to let me know promptly if your circumstances or the local authority's position changes.

Your information

Confidentiality is treated as a professional obligation, not just a policy statement. Information is retained only for as long as needed to support your case and our own records, and is not shared beyond what the Privacy Policy describes.

Communication

Every new enquiry starts with a free, no-obligation conversation, so that you know what is involved and what it would cost before committing to anything. After that, we agree together how best to stay in touch: email, phone or video call, whichever suits the work in hand.

Complaints and disputes

If anything about the service falls short, please raise it directly at contact@voylian.com first, so it can be put right. These terms are governed by the law of Northern Ireland, and any dispute that cannot be resolved directly is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Northern Ireland.

Third-party support

Where it helps your case to seek a second opinion or guidance from another professional, this is done without identifying your child by name wherever that is possible.
